That misses the whole point - that it is freeze WAIT and reanimate. We can freeze now and in the future people may be able to reanimate. If we wait until reanimation is possible before freezing, then we lose those who could have been frozen earlier. The technology that can reanimate can also cure most of the things that kill us. The age of reanimations will also be an age where death is accidental or optional - and the accidents must be pretty severe to be successful of annihilating the individual concerned. Also the choice is *not* between be frozen now whilst in good health in the hope of future reanimation, or continuing to live now. it is between when you can not longer go on living by any other means, be frozen until such time (if ever) as you can be cured and reanimated. The only alternative is annihilation by burning or rotting. I am sure that I and others are not getting this accross. People may hear what we say, but they behave as if we we mean "get frozen now and trade the rest of your life for a possible future life" and then start talking about risks and it might not work. If you are frozen when you are incurable and at the point of death, you have absolutely nothing to lose. -- Sincerely, * Longevity Report: http://www.longevb.demon.co.uk/lr.htm John de Rivaz * Fractal Report: http://www.longevb.demon.co.uk/fr.htm **************** Homepage:http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/JohndeR In the information age, sharing can increase world wealth enormously, because giving information does not decrease your information.
