Subject: Charles Platt's books are in the public library

I accidently stumbled across a book by an author with the same name as
Cryocare's Charles Platt. The book posed some interesting questions, and
was entitled "When you can live twice as long what will you do?". Question
#7 was, "Do you want to freeze yourself"? The flyleaf described the author
thusly: "Charles Platt is a science-fiction/fact expert who has written
more than fifteen science-fiction novels, including Free Zone and Dream
Makers series, as well as nonfiction books. He is a respected computer
programer and his software has been written up in computer magasines. He
lives in Los Angeles."
Question: Could this famous person indeed be distantly related to
Cryocare's Charles Platt?
