You didn't list the name of the book, but since you list books that I
know that Charles has written (and that I have read), I can answer.

Yes, it is the same Charles Platt. Charles is a good writer. Pick up
"The Silicon Man" sometime. It has recently been re-released (by some
Wired spinoff, I believe.)
