What are you waiting for? Just kidding. To end up on CO2 thats easier to handle in US perhaps if the problems hit, since migration-masses are easier there to the right place over a = large area so you all can survive. A bit harder over here. Lets hope for the best and make an effort soon to prevent. Remember there are a lot of Cryonicists outside US. After reading of Cryonics, without Internet it took a long time via the Embassy, = Fulbright Commission and some Cryoorg to find Alcor. With the net I could find them all in a short time. Cryonics has been in TV several times over a few years here with little response, but most people have seen it in fact and remember. What Gallatin (name?) wrote is good, as I wrote before, get the rich and/or famous. If God is a hinder it should be easy to recruit in places like here (Sweden), where we pay a lot of taxes for security and dont rely much in = God. One thing has struck me, all the AIDS-cases may give Cryonics a bit bad reputation. I'm not homophobic, and some get HIV other ways but more = unusual. Perhaps some folks dont like to be buried with them close by. And perhaps its a thought the chances are less anyone will get us back = with a bunch of gay's. Some famous are gay's, but the very rich I guess are more conservative. As far as I know rich people pay a lot for a normal burial, why not this? I can pay cash myself without a family interfering, but then? From = CI with 28000+- to others with 125000+- or even 150' there certainly are a choice for richer or poorer, but only in US so far. Its not all a = matter of money, I offered my mother to pay it all, she refuses so far and like to get burned+ACE- For the elderly its an inheritancematter, to help the children up. That must be planned in advance, give them a bit and secure the rest. I = started from 0 and expect others to do the same, build up instead of inherit. Its a bit morbid my friends think, and boring for me to think of to much of the end. One major problem is we ought to relocate near an Cryonics org to increase the chances, the closer the better. I'm very far out and dont = wish to sacrifice this life to much for a slight chance of another one if ever. The young ones dont think they will die. The old will often die at home. Out here we are used to live more near our relatives. So its a lot of practical obstacles even if CI has one remote solution and Alcor another = for pickup, but a bit unsecure, even more with legal problems in some places when traveling. I.e. France has a rule against us but never use = it, who can trust in that? To bad, a nice and warm place in the south. US are a bit scary for us outside not used to it, what we see in TV of the worst with all the gunproblems and social insecurity. To build up = something outside US seem to be hard. Sinclair gave some money, started in south of UK many years ago for Alcor and have not advanced much since = then. There are more social security such as free healthcare in UK and very restrict gun-laws, a lot less religous folks than US, and a descent = climate, but not enough Cryonisists it seems to compare with. So if we cant build up an new org where we like to live, can move and will = optimize chances, today CA AZ and Mich. remain. CA are known for earthquakes, in Mich. its cold and Phoenix hot, but thats it to join = existing orgs. There are a lot of rich or semi-rich who are seeking eternal life all over the world. US have tuff immigration rules. Since US are more = capitalistic, there are rumors Cryonics is all about making money. I know it is not, to live on perhaps but not get rich. All for tonight, Buenos noches Sincerely Thomas Nord ------=_NextPart_000_03FD_01BDF344.2460EEE0 Content-Type: text/html; [ AUTOMATICALLY SKIPPING HTML ENCODING! ] Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=10552
