X-Message-Number: 11400 From: Kellie Smith <> Subject: Free Suspentions for Celeberties Date: Wed, 10 Mar 1999 12:17:09 -0800 Professor Ettinger discusses giving free suspensions to celebrities for use of their name publicly. If the celebrity has it (money) I see no reason to give him/her the free suspension. The use of their name may cause people to join (fans), and it might give us a good influx of money. Though, I ask myself, how good would this celebrity be to represent us if he/she needed to be enticed by a freebie in order to join? If idiotic statements were given by this person, if the celebrity changes his/her mind, the response would probably be more negative then positive. On the other hand, if the celebrity asked to be a spokes person in return for a free suspension, then that is a different story. This person would have wanted this, which makes everything they say more believable and they would be able to debate and defend better.
