Re the problem of a bracelet being ignored, deliberately or otherwise.
Might I suggest that a suitable inscription be tattooed across the chest of
anyone who is worried about this.  There should be plenty of room for
detailed instructions and legal notices.  Any organ-hungry surgeon would
find this difficult to miss.

[ Andy, that sounds logical.  Tatoos might help, but don't expect them
  to be anywhere near foolproof.  I vaguely recall reading that somewhere
  (Massachusetts?) emergency room physicians were instructed to ignore
  anything written on tattoos.  Can anyone provide the details and/or
