To Doug Skrecky:

Fine. You say that brains have been completely embalmed ie. the substance
penetrated at the right concentration into the entire brain. Please give
a reference for this. (I'm not doubting you, I just want to look at the
subject past what you say). I know of lots of cases in which various
fixatives have been used on pieces or slices of brain; I'd like a case in
which the entire brain became PROVABLY fixed.

This leaves the issue of revival open (except perhaps for red blood
cells). One problem with such methods is that they may unwittingly destroy
some essential chemical. I'd be interested in any discussion you can make
about that. Second, ideas about how to look into means to revive such
tissue (rather than simply putting the problem off into some unknown
future) would also be useful.

The rest of what you say in your reply I do not doubt and would even
agree with. I am asking about fixation and fixation methods; once we have
the problems with such methods solved (or see a way to solve them, even
if it will take some time) the other treatments shouldn't prove
questionable.

			Best and long long life,
