I've read Mr. Kurzweil's book and thought it excellent. Apparently
Mr. Kurzweil's believes as I do that emotion without intelligence
is possible but dull and useless and that intelligence without
emotion is impossible. The reason he didn't talk a lot about
emotion is that there is nothing interesting or useful to say about it.
