Since the subject of feeling and consciousness in machines
keeps recurring in this forum, it might be a proper place
to ask a question that's been nagging me for a while.

The pros and cons of artificial consciousness have been dis-
cussed at length in book form by the Dennetts, Churchlands
and Dreyfuses of the world. Yet, I still have
to see a clear and concise list of the arguments in favor
of that position (which I support, by the way). It would be
a document at most a few pages long, a kind of "strong AI
manifesto". Has anyone ever come across something like that?
