Here's a suggestion, Mr Smith: instead of repeating the (erroneous and
empty) calendrical mantra `July 20', put some content into your claim.

For example, you might refer usefully to 

`the paper on molecular-based logic gates in the July 16 issue of *Science*
'. 

Perhaps you might even add that it reports on UCLA/Hewlett Packard research
by chemistry professor James R. Heath,  et al., using rotaxanes as
molecular switches in an innovative architecture.
