X-Message-Number: 12974 From: "John de Rivaz" <> Subject: Update to technology investments page Date: Tue, 21 Dec 1999 12:55:13 -0000 I have added a couple of stocks to my technology investment page, which gives you a table of links to selected high growth technology companies' home web pages. Non Invasive Monitoring Systems NIMS They make the "Lifeshirt" medical monitoring garment that will go on sale next year. People pay $30 a day to have their health monitored on http://www.lifeshirt.com and although this is a lot of money over time I am sure that there will be plenty of takers. I see a parallel between life monitoring systems and vehicle and traffic monitoring systems. The latter sector has seen stocks rise by tenfold over the past five years. If clients of lifeshirt/NIMS are willing to accept total computer monitoring of their condition (rather than the present system using human operators), costs should fall substantially over the years widening the market and hence leading to exponential increase of profits. There is an "accounts qualification", so do not invest any money you cannot afford to lose in your attempt to see it rise by a factor of ten or more over the coming years. Genome Therapeutics Corporation GENE This company is involved with genomics - the use of genetic information to assign medication to symptoms with substantial reduction in risk and side effects. I am convinced that genomics will be a growth area in the next decade as big as PCs have been in the last two. Don't buy the stock at the moment - there has been a sharp increase due to an alignment with Schering Plough (also featured on my list). As with all bio stocks, sharp increases are followed by sharp falls. Once the quotation is back nearer the base line, buy a few though if you are looking for the Intel of the 00s. A company like this could be it. -- Sincerely, John de Rivaz my homepage links to Longevity Report, Fractal Report, my singles club for people in Cornwall, music, Inventors' report, an autobio and various other projects: http://geocities.yahoo.com/longevityrpt Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=12974
