Subject: Alcor North Calif. Cryonics Meeting Sunday, Jan. 9

What: Alcor Northern California Cryonics Meeting, followed by a potluck
dinner and socializing. We will be celebrating Bedford Day, the 33rd
anniversary of the first controlled cryonic suspension. James Bedford was
frozen on January 12, 1967. He remains frozen to this day, and is currently
stored at Alcor.

We also have a videotape from the Fox Family Channel program, "Exploring
the Unknown", recorded Oct. 12, 1999. It has a 10-minute segment on
cryonics which isn't very favorable, but we'll watch it, anyway.

When: Sunday, January 9, 2000, 4:00 PM.

Where: Carol Shaw and Ralph Merkle's home
        1134 Pimento Ave
        Sunnyvale, CA 94087-2231

Carol and Ralph's phone: 408-730-5224

Bring: Food and/or drink.

Directions: Take Highway 85 to Sunnyvale. Take the Fremont Ave. exit and go
east on Fremont Ave. Go a couple of blocks and turn left (north) on Mary at
the traffic light. Take the first right on Ticonderoga. Take the first left
on Pimento. 1134 Pimento is the yellow house on the right near the end of
the street.

Alcor Northern California meetings are usually held on the second Sunday of
each month at various locations in the San Francisco Bay Area. Anyone
interested in cryonics is welcome to attend the general business meetings,
sign-up parties, and potlucks.

More information on cryonics is available at http://www.alcor.org
and http://www.merkle.com/cryo. Alcor's toll-free inquiry number is
877-GO-ALCOR (877-462-5267).
