X-Message-Number: 13396 From: "John de Rivaz" <> Subject: Einstein's Brain Date: Thu, 16 Mar 2000 11:40:04 -0000 http://www.newscientist.com/opinion/opinion_223014.html is a link to an article about the whereabouts of Einstein's brain. Apparently it has been chopped up into approx 200 pieces. The article says that many of the media stories about the brain have been in error, and it is now being studied by pathologist Sandra Whitelson of Macmaster University, who is comparing it with many other brains. These other brains were taken from people who had been studied during their lives, in order to determine any correlation with their behaviour in life with the anatomy of their brains. I had previously passed on some of the media errors in my column Comments from Cornwall - hopefully this will correct these. If in donating his brain to science Einstein had any hopes of reanimation, these hopes have now been chopped to pieces. -- Sincerely, John de Rivaz my homepage links to Longevity Report, Fractal Report, my singles club for people in Cornwall, music, Inventors' report, an autobio and various other projects: http://geocities.yahoo.com/longevityrpt Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=13396
