Basically you have a major underestimate of what would really be
required to make a computer simulate even one neuron... much less an
entire human brain. Without that ability, we can play around in a 
kids' sandbox but never really cope with transferring a human being
into a "computer" (of some kind).

I will add that I do believe that such simulations will someday
become possible. I just don't believe they are nearly so easy as
lots of computer people seem to think. Most of my message discussed
the various problems involved in doing such a simulation.
