Subject: alternative to CI's 70% glycerol?

One advantage of using a concentrated glycerol solution would be
increased tissue dehydration, and consequently reduced ice crystal
damage. One possible alternative to CI's 70% glycerol, might be an even
more dehydrating solution. The viscosity of >70% glycerol solutions might
be too high to be readily perfusable. Using an 80% ethylene
glycol/glycerol mixture might do the trick.
