Sadly, it is not. > Really, Eugene! I am not a big fan of CI and Ettinger, and although I would only join CI if I had to, it is better than nothing, certainly. I hope it's there for me if I ever need it. Furthermore, I didn't think much of Ettinger's comments at the very beginning of this thread. I thought he was at once trying to associate CI with vitrification (rather farfetched, as far as I can tell), and at the same time deprecating Alcor (which I suppose is a reasonable thing to do, if they deserve it). And I truly appreciate your work for 21CM. But Mr Ettinger is not a troll. A troll comes onto a list and makes comments like this: "Cryonicists suck! You're all gonna die! You are just afraid of death." Please don't "cry troll". No one will believe you when there really is one. Nor is he as far as I can tell, senile. He writes far too well--and even elegantly--to be that. And he is a clever debater. In fact, I think he has in some respects gotten the better of Platt and Wakfer, despite the fact that I think the basis of CI's philosophy and operation is fundamentally flawed compared to CryoCare & Alcor. Regardless, real research is the only way to go, and CI is just not there in any respect, other than in a lip-service fashion, as far as I can tell. You have been reading too much Slashdot, I think. That overblown, bombastic, attacking style is wearing off on you. Mellow out. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get email at your own domain with Yahoo!
