Re: ^Z's at the end of your messages
Many people on the net, including me, like to print out hard copy of our email
messages. I do this via a mainframe host computer that will terminate the
printing job prematurely if the text to be printed contains "unprintable"
characters such as control-Z (^Z). Several people on the net leave a string of
^Z's at the end of their messages necessitating special editing befor their
email can be converted into hard copy. Please don't do this! When you press ^Z
to terminate and send your email message, don't hold the keys down: only one
^Z is needed to send you message on its way. --Mark Voelker
p.s. ^Z appears as $ on the screen

[ Mark, I have good news. I just put a filter in my email handler to
remove all control-Z characters from the incoming text. If you have
noticed any other mischievous characters on CryoNet, just let me know
and I'll program my filter to ^Zap them. - KQB ]
