Dr. Jerry Lemler, a psychiatrist, now Alcor's medical director, wrote:

That's fine, and I wish them success. But it raises or renews serious 
questions about costs and sustainability. Obviously, they currently rely on 
special donations to meet the expenses. Later they will need either ongoing 
reliable donations or else Alcor prices will have to reflect the expense of a 
full-time professional staff, or some combination thereof.

As for disagreements on Alcor's claims, see my recent summary.

As to who is more "political," perhaps one key is that we link to Alcor's 
site, but (last I looked) they do not link to ours.
