Anyone know which infections?

It was interesting that leukaemia clusters around a nuclear plant in the UK
were first blamed on radiation, but it was later discovered that they were
due to infections introduced into the local population by migrant labourers
building the plant.

Can anyone get these infections, or do you need a genetic defect as well in
order for cancer to result?

Removing STDs from the list of carcinogenic infections are the figures much
reduced?

Another thought that has often interested me is the possibility that an
infection you are given as a child and which apparently self limits is the
cause of a cancer you develop when you are an old person. Is there any
reality in such an idea?
