The only honest answer I can imagine is that we can NEVER know when anyone's
revival becomes "impossible".  Therefore I would suggest that we should also
never say "give up".   The first ethical principle of medical practice
remains, "First, do no harm".  To give up on someone's potential revival at
any point would be to "do harm".
