I always liked the couplet:

"Do not go gentle into that long, dark night
but rage, rage against the dying of the light."

I forget who said this but it was a well-respected poet or author (Dylan
Thomas?). It has the polemical advantage of intellectual cachet while
providing an eloquent way of expressing the sentiment that it is good to
strive to live. To me, it also subtly suggests the sheep-like weakness of a
passive acceptance of death.

It is also brief and so can either be used as a springboard for one's own
words or as a powerful close.
