X-Message-Number: 16177 Date: Wed, 2 May 2001 22:57:07 -0400 From: "Stephen W. Bridge" <> Subject: Fw: Virus with no cure.- HOAX THIS IS A HOAX. Most of the virus names listed in that message are HOAXES with a few common real names thrown in.. Please click on the following site for details: http://vmyths.com/hoax.cfm?id=219&page=3 or here:http://antivirus.about.com/compute/antivirus/library/hoaxes/blenint.ht m ANY time you receive a message telling you to send it to everyone on your mailing list, it is a hoax. The virus is the message itself, being spread by people who never grew up, trying to waste your time, panic you, and see how many people they can trick. And don't pass along any of those Urban legends asking you to help find a missing child or to send a card to someone dying of cancer. They are all either false or stopped being true years ago. I've only seen one real message like that and it was from a friend of mine about another missing friend -- direct to me, not anonymous. The fake ones are cruel in the extreme. Before you pass along any more of these time-wasters, please check the following sites to see if they are hoaxes. If there is a REAL virus to panic over, it will be reported on all of the Internet news sites. It will not be spread by anonymous e-mail http://www.hoaxinfo.com/ http://www.Vmyths.com/ http://urbanlegends.about.com/science/urbanlegends/ Now, PLEASE forward this to everyone you sent the previous message to and send it back up the line to anyone you received it from. Thank you, Steve Bridge Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=16177
