Louis, I have gathered by now, that you have a deep respect for
life, in fact, that you consider the maintenance of life
paramount without regard to its quality or anything else.
However, the question that nags me is: Do you actually like
life?
To me sex is one of its great pleasures and, at age 67, without
the minutest consideration of procreation. I am heterosexual,
but I believe, if I was gay, these pleasures would be, even if
not identical, just as intense.
Now, if I was gay, why would you deny me this great life-joy just
for that reason? My sexual orientation has been given to me with
my genes, just like you received your near-sightedness. If I was
gay, you would banish me to life-long abstinence?
If it gives me pleasure joy or satisfaction I WILL do it, as long
as it does not inflict harm on anybody else. That is what I live
for and what I want to extend my life for.

Best,
Olaf
