Reply to Curtis Henderson from David Pizer

Dear Curtis:

Thank you for your recent posting to the cryonet and for taking the time
to discuss some of these issues with me on the phone the other evening.
I admire your frankness. I would like to respond to your points with
equal frankness, if I may.

I can not speak for Keith Henson, however I am becoming more interested
in the history of CSNY and Cryospan for several reasons.

I would like to know more about the history of Saul Kent and how he
handles various matters. I would like to know more now because Saul is
now becoming more powerful in Alcor. He seems to carry great
influence. I believe we have an obligation to know about people who
have so much influence.

I would like to know more because CSNY and Cryospan had relatives who
requested the removal of patients. I forsee in the near future where as
many as 3 Alcor patients may be asked for by relatives. We may be able
to learn from the events of the past.

I would like to know why you feel that the continued operation of
Cryospan and CSNY were a threst to the integrity of the cryonics idea
and to the personal integrity of Saul Kent, as you stated.

You state that there were no judgments, however I have heard that there
was a threat of $1,000 a day fine. I would like to know more about
this. Why, what, where, how?

Until my talk with Mike Perry this evening, I did not know where the
historical records were. I understand that they have now been returned
to Alcor. I am going to review them, soon. After that review, I am
sure I will have more questions. I hope you and Saul will answer them.
You and Saul know more about this then most anyone else; we can learn a
lot from you.

I apologize if my questions were in an accusatory tone. I will
appriciate any suggestions (from anyone) on how to phrase them better.

I would like to correct your impression that there was, or is, an
alliance between Keith, Carlos or myself. I have often disagreed with
these gentlemen, and they with me, and with each other. In addition,
I have recently come to support the idea of Steve Bridge running Alcor.
I have got to know Steve, I think he will do a good job. I have asked
members of the staff, and other Alcor members, to give Steve a chance.
I have asked Carlos, Hugh and Keith to do the same. You can verify
that with Joe Hovey.

I have stated many times that Alcor owes Carlos a great debt for his
skill and savy in hard times. I feel that Carlos will always be a
valuable leader in Alcor. I predict that he and Steve will become very
good friends in the future.

I agree with you, Curtis. I think we should conduct ourselves as though
we were going to live forever. If you care to help us understand what
went on in the past, I hope you will answer the questions I have asked
in this posting and those in an earlier posting. In addition, I hope
Saul will, also.

I also hope we can have an open cryonet discussion of all the events of
the past, and that others will join in with questions and comments. I
hope we will all ask questions, and make comments, in accordance with
the high standards of respect you have set in your posting.

Best Regards, David Pizer
