Subject: CANADIAN CRYONICS/LIFE-EXTENSION POOL PARTY

SUMMER 2001 CANADIAN CRYONICS/LIFE-EXTENSION POOL PARTY

The 11th Annual Canadian Cryonics/Life-Extension Pool Party will be held
Sunday, July 29th from 3pm to 7pm in Toronto about 10 blocks north of
Eglinton, near Avenue Road (just west of Yonge). The swimming pool is in
the back yard (access from the driveway at the side of the house). All
those interested in cryonics or life-extension are invited to attend.

Our guest of honor is Takaaki Kaburagi
(see http://www.kanon.to/kabuenglish.html) who is President of the
Japanese Cryonics Association and founder of the Metamorphosis Society
(see http://www.kanon.to/ms.htm). Kabu is spending a couple of days in
Toronto during a brief business trip to North America.

Other special guests include Keith Henson and David Pascal. Keith
Henson is a seasoned cryonicist who has personally participated in
18 cryopreservation cases and has contributed to the sign-up of a
very large number of cryonicists -- mostly Northern California Alcor
members. Keith recently obtained "refugee claimant" status in
Canada following a prison conviction in California associated with his
"religious persecution" of Scientologists. A good summary of
his case appeared in LA WEEKLY under the title UNFAIR GAME
(see http://www.laweekly.com/ink/01/31/news-holland.shtml). David Pascal
is a Cryonics Institute member who publishes the organization's
electronic newsletter LONG LIFE
(see http://groups.yahoo.com/group/long_life).

Those interested should contact Ben Best for the address (so we
can estimate how many are coming). This is a non-smoking event.
Bring your friends!
