Subject: How do you catch a unique rabbit?

Unlike Alvin, I make no claim to be a unique. As to the recent
query, however, regarding my own uniqueness, I unhesitatingly proclaim I
most certainly am!
My source to support this seemingly pompous assertion? Well, Cryonet
junkies, it s none other than the irrepressible Fred Rogers. You ve never
heard of him, have you? No, he s not one of our members, though I d
certainly welcome him into the fold. But his face is known to millions of
folks throughout the world, including Eddie Murphy (SNL parody).
When my kids were little, PBS would sandwich the laid-back Fred
in-between the bombardment of Sesame Street and the Electric Company.
Along with Lady Elaine Fairchild, Chef Brocket, King Friday the Thirteenth,
and Mr. McFeeley (the groping mailman), the sneaker and cardigan-clad
former Presbyterian cleric would offer his soothing ministrations to our
children in Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. The show aired each and every
weekday for over two decades, and imparted to Generation Xers (and their
parents), much invaluable wisdom.
I even met Mr. Rogers on one occasion, in 1984. It was indeed a
thrill. In fact, I d place this scintillating happenstance right up there
amongst my having conversed with the likes of Ronald Reagan, Zubin Metha,
Paul Simon, David Crosby, Hubert Humphrey, Jack Nicklaus, Bella Abzug, and
Bob Ettinger.
The singular, (sorry Vernor), most profound pearl I gleaned from the
loquacious Mr. Rogers was likewise one of his most repetitious, and well it
should have been. My TV hero would look me straight in the eye, and say,
Remember, there s nobody just like you!
     Cryonetters, I rest my case.
     Ans.: Unique up on him.
