Subject: praise for 2 messages

Hi everyone!

Two messages seem to me to deserve praise and comment.

1. Stephan Bogner's message about a new and effective anticancer
treatment does bear on the concerns of many cryonicists. As someone
who's already been treated for cancer, and lacks any real assurance
that I won't suddenly find that I have it again, it's good to know
of experimental treatments which work that well.

Other prominent cryonicists have recently revealed their own run-in
with cancer, Saul Kent and Art Quaife also come to mind I suspect
that others also have that problem.

2. John Grigg's comments about the Church of the Latter Day Saints
and their approach to cloning (though he didn't say what it was).
I am not taking back anything which I said about the relevance of
religion to cryonics. However any cryonicist with religious feelings
can be expected to be interested in how their religion adapts to
biological technology (even cloning of human beings is a very
primitive form of biotech. Wait for 100 years and then see what
   we have!).

So long as they do not insist that their concern is fundamental to
cryonics itself, cryonicists of any particular religion can be
expected to think about that issue, and sometimes their thoughts
will interest other cryonicists. I was NOT arguing that they should
   never post on Cryonet.

Best wishes and long long life to all,

			Thomas Donaldson
