The September issue of Scientific American is devoted to nanotech and is well
worth reading for a more balanced view of the prospects of nanotechnology than
you will find from enthusiast publications.

In "Nano Nonsense and Cryonics", Michael Shermer points out that
transhumanistic-extropian cryonics is close to being a religious cult with
anticipated super-science as a new god.

When we want to believe something we lose our objectivity. Shermer says "The
rub is finding that balance between being open-minded enough to accept radical
new ideas but not so open-minded that your brains fall out."

Read it! I'm sure the numerous interesting articles will fuel a lot of
discussion on Cryonet.
