He blasts away at any target, and springs back into three- dimensional form after being run over by a steam-roller. Faced with such an adversary, I would be wise to continue my policy of hiding under the bed. With great reluctance, however, I have to address the issue of censorship, because I do believe that all opinions deserve to be heard, no matter how malign or insincere. True, I have chosen not to include the Pizer postings in Cryonics Forum, the new section of Cryonics magazine which will contain material from Cryonet. However, I have promised that if Dave (or anyone else) can limit a piece of prose to 500 words, and if he specifically asks for its inclusion, I will do so regardless of its content. I look forward to receiving this material; indeed, I have been waiting in anticipation for more than a month, now. Dave, I don't bear you any grudge for your accusations. I love your gentlemanly style, you are highly entertaining, and I will continue trying to find a publisher for your delightful novel about cryonics. ----- Kevin Brown's posting re PR was fascinating, even allowing for his tongue-in-cheek ambivalence. I think it's quite wrong, however, to compare cryonics with religion. If you think of it as being a service industry like medical insurance (rather than life insurance), you have a much more accurate analogy. What does your book say about selling insurance, Kevin? --Charles Platt [ Charles, your point is logical. Once cryonics has been repositioned as a life-saving medical technology, the "medical insurance" approach will fit well in the minds of people. That still leaves a lot of marketing to be done to encourage people to "buy" it, though. Regarding religion, see my comment to Kenneth Tolman's message. As for insurance, unfortunately, I don't recall reading anything about that in the book. - KQB ] Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=1739
