It described the shutting down of all cryonics companies in California. There are now only a few frozen pets (!) in California, no people. Lazarus (appropriate name) stated "Cryonicists, as they prefer to be called, routinely savage one another on an Internet message board at www.cryonics.org that serves as a jagged window on an increasingly disharmonious community." I read this article with some dismay. I want cryonics to work but as an engineer and a physicist I have already seen much to make me skeptical. Cryonics is going to die unless it achieves scientific respectability which it currently does not have. Joseph W.
