X-Message-Number: 17420 Date: Wed, 29 Aug 2001 20:05:07 -0400 (EDT) From: Charles Platt <> Subject: Error in my text Paul Wakfer has noticed that in a report which I wrote several years ago, describing a presentation by the principal scientists of 21st Century Medicine, I referred to 21CM as having been "founded" by Saul Kent and Bill Faloon. In fact I should have mentioned Mike Darwin and Paul Wakfer as cofounders. I am assuming, from Paul's communication to me, that he had a formal title in 21CM when it was founded. I don't know, because I haven't seen the relevant corporate documents. More to the point, Paul played a very important role, funding research with his own money, prior to the formation of 21CM; and with Mike Darwin, he did an immense amount of work to create the physical laboratory. The text that I wrote was published in Cryonics magazine, The Immortalist, and CryoCare Report. Subsequently a version has been placed on the ACS web site. Perhaps Edgar Swank will be good enough to correct the text on the web site to include Paul's name, in accordance with his wishes. --Charles Platt Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=17420
