X-Message-Number: 17482 From: "Jamison LaPaglia" <> Subject: Quackwatch Date: Sat, 08 Sep 2001 13:48:11 -0500 For the last year, I have been regularly checking Dr. Stephen Barrett s web site, www.quackwatch.com, waiting for his response to a reader question, Cryonics is it valid? He finally posted his response, which misrepresents cryonics and contains a few obvious errors, on September 2. No one on Cryonet has mentioned this yet, so it s up to me to sound the alarm. Barrett's response can be found at: http://www.quackwatch.com/04ConsumerEducation/QA/cryonics.html I have already sent my own comments to his site, but I am not qualified to give a thorough response (specifically, a response to the claim that brain cells burst when frozen). I m hoping someone on this list can. Dr. Barrett s e-mail address can be found on his site. -Jim _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=17482
