Subject: Who Really Did CryoCare In?

In a recent Cryonet post, Charles Platt, ever the one to publish
tantalizing tidbits of possible information, states: "CryoCare enjoyed
rapid growth and a lot of loyalty from its members. Unfortunately our
service providers chose to cease providing service. Our members waited for
Fred Chamberlain to set up an alternate service, but Fred failed to follow
through."

First, this seems to implicate the founders of the group of organizations
(one nonprofit and the others for-profit) which were set up by essentially
the same set of people (those who at the time did a mass exodus from
Alcor), who then are we to believe suddenly one day turned on themselves
and stopped providing services to themselves? I've read Cryonet and other
reports regularly for a few years, and I was never quite able to figure out
what really happened here.

But then, in the next sentence, blame seems to be falling on Fred
Chamberlain, and I assume this refers to his attempts to get BioTransport
going. I am equally puzzled regarding what happened to BioTransport, which
sounded like it was going places, then all we heard was Alcor was
continuing to run their own teams. No explanation. Like reading half a
book, then going on to a new one. Fred C - you there? Speak up for
yourself! Or somebody who knows, please clarify.

Anyway, "whodunit?"
