While mere secular guarantees of rights like the US Constitution are routinely ignored by the US Supreme Courtiers, the "Sikh 2nd Amendment" (the kirpan) is recognized by the Supreme Court, and Sikhs may be armed even in schools. If only there had been Sikhs on those four hijacked airplanes... "That's not a knife... THIS is a knife!" Plus, I believe that if you truly understand the symbolic meaning of the kirpan doctrine, you'll see that it actually refers to weapons of all types. So get back to the Sikh scriptures and find us some substitute scriptures for the rest of the Bill of Rights, we'll all convert, and "problem solved". Let us know when you're ready to go the Supreme Court. Bill Walker... um, I mean Bill Singh. P.S. re your point 8, religions do evolve, as do other viruses. But you have to ask yourself what they evolve to do... --part1_16e.2560b6a.28faffaa_boundary Content-Type: text/html; charset="US-ASCII" [ AUTOMATICALLY SKIPPING HTML ENCODING! ] Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=17761
