Greetings,

Asscroft, yes indeed! I live in Missouri and voted against this
character last November and was overjoyed to say the least
when he lost his re-election Senate bid. Well, we all know
what happened since, and I did'nt vote for Bush so I can't get
blamed there either. Like others here, I am sure, I did not
have confidence in Ashcroft when he stated during his Senate
confirmation hearing that he would not let his religion get in the
way of his interpretation of the law, but I think in this Oregon
issue that is precisely what has occured, although I am sure
that Ashcroft has covered his decision with plenty of legal

mumbo-jumbo.

Think about this:
In the 'war' in Afghanistan most people condemn the way the
Taliban impose their interpretation of their religion on the
people of that country, but is'nt that what Ashcroft is doing
right here in the state of Oregon? Of course.

Best Regards,

Kevin Spoering
