Hirsch" <> Subject: Keep trying A few months ago, when it became apparent that my cousin was suffering from terminal cancer, I wrote to him suggesting participation in clinical trials of promising new drugs and in cryonic suspension. I am unhappy to report that he did neither and has died. His wife told my mine that they had a good laugh after reading my letter. Well, it is good to know that I brought a little happiness into their lives. I have never succeeded in persuading any member of my family, including my wife, to sign up. My wife has given cryonics a good deal of attention. She has visited Cryonics Institute, Alcor, and Transtime and has talked to Bob and Mae Ettinger, to Fred and Linda Chamberlain, and to other cryonics people. She remains unconvinced. Despite a record of 100% failure, I am going to keep trying to get people to believe that cryonics is an advanced and potentially beneficial form of medical treatment. Even if there is only a small chance that cryonics will succeed, it is the only way to save the lives of those who have no alternative. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Henry R.
