I recently heard a secondhand report re the greenhouse/ice age theories...
this is hearsay so verify as needed- but apparently the most recent studies
of prehistoric strata seems to indicate the earth undergoes regular cycles,
where there is a sharp rise in temperatures for just a few years (5-20 years
as I recall) and followed by a precipitious drop resulting in ice ages and
glacier advance almost overnight(going from pine forests to frozen tundra in
less than 20 years)... which makes sense- the heat rises, more evaporation,
more cloud cover reflects the sun... resulting in a drop of temperature...
and an ice age from which the earth slowly recovers.. The last bit of
hearsay science is we are apparently overdue for an ice age... so perhaps the
greenhouse effect of our air pollution is preventing or delaying the onset of
an ice age... remember, Greenland was green when the Vikings settled there.

So Florida may very well be flooded... and then freeze... and then finally re
emerge as the icecaps are restored. I'm not sure HOW important this is, as I
suspect that reanimation will be available a LOT sooner than we expect...
maybe within 50 years. Its always impossible until someone does it, then
everyone accepts it as commonplace. The most unusual thing is when people
feel a sense of wonder about something.
