Recall what happened to Grissom, Chaffee and White in the Apollo command module during an on ground test. They were working in a pure O2 atmosphere at less than 14.7psi (about 7psi I believe), with no LO2 present. LO2 is borderline hypergolic with many organic substances, e.g. if LO2 is spilled into asphalt and allowed to soak in the resulting substance may spontaneously explode.
