Subject: Re: CRYONICS: Cash flow shortage

As I mentioned to Tanya in a phone call to Alcor earlier today, I realized
this morning that I owed dues to Alcor. I called up and paid them, thus
doing my small part towards fixing the cashflow problem. However, at the
same time that I realized that I owed money, I also realized that no one
had complained to me that I owed money. Steve Bridge is new at this game, so
I'll point out that one thing organizations with cashflow problems try to
do is to tighten up on collecting receivables. If I hadn't been contacted,
I bet that there are other deadbeats like me who hadn't been contacted
either. I suspect that exercising tighter control over billing and collecting
current outstanding receivables might ease up the week's cash crunch,
although it will of course do little for the larger question of the
problems with the annual budget. If only a dozen or so people owe money
the way I did and just were made to pay up, the current payroll would be met.
