Good question. One answer in my wishlist would be coast to coast, and one day beyond that, services in every or at least near as many hospitals as possible to make it so there's near to one per moderate sized city. I wish for a day when a cryonicist can travel with a reasonable expectation of the same quality a suspension near home, whether that be near to permanent storage or or not, and abroad. > Message #18546 > From: "mike99" <> > Subject: New theory of Aging > Date: Tue, 12 Feb 2002 18:40:00 -0700 > > http://www.src.uchicago.edu/~gavr1/press_release.html > > For Release January 29, 2002 > Contact: Julie Antelman, NORC 773.256.6312 > > > A new theory on aging, living long, and dying > > Body System Redundancies and "the thousand natural shocks that flesh is > heir to" are key to why we age and when we die I'm very sceptical but I have yet to read further. Still it sounds, and here's my scientific opinion, really wierd. ;) > Message #18544 > From: > Date: Tue, 12 Feb 2002 13:00:36 EST > Subject: Norton donation for Swayze > > Brook Norton, through the Society for Venturism, has sent a second generous > donation to the James Swayze Fund. Some part of me thinks denying the severity of my health issues will keep them at bay through constant maintenance of a positive attitude. Another part of me isn't quite fooled. The Occidental view would have me suffering a scism or duality while the Oriental view would find a Yin Yang like balance. Guess which view I prefer? ;) James -- My website: http://www.davidpascal.com/swayze A collection of photos of me and some of my artwork: http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4292752723&code=2039335&mode=invite A radio interview on Dr. J's ChangeSurfer Radio program with me and the father of cryonics Prof. Robert Ettinger, author of "The Prospect of Immortality": http://www.radio4all.net/proginfo.php?id=3728 Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=18556
