Subject: is not Robert Ettinger
From: (Tim Freeman)

I received an email from "" that had a little bit
of included text that seemed like it might have been from Robert
Ettinger, followed by a 131072 byte executable attachment "today.exe".
The text didn't make much sense. I could not extract any meaning from
the attachment without running it, which I do not intend to do.

I called the Cryonics Institute using the phone number on their web
site. The person who answered the phone (I didn't get his name) said
that this has been happening for a while. Robert Ettinger doesn't
have an @home account, and apparently someone who doesn't like him is
sending out these confusing emails. Ettinger also had a virus in the
past that did something vaguely similar, but that is no longer the
case.

Don't run the attachment if you get one of these.

If you get one of these emails, or have an old one on hand, and you're
confident that you can determine the size of the attachment without
running it, please send me an email saying the size of the attachment.
If it's always 131072 bytes, then that increases the value of finding
out what this guy is trying to do to us.
