If a civilisation can travel that distance, it is so far in advance from our state that it can't have any interest for us. Add that: Super civilisations may dislike others, may be they travel in time and destroy any germ in their domain. May be we are the seed of such a monster and our galaxy has been "disinfected". More far away civilisations would not enter in the "verboten" zone...
