Comment by SB Harris:

I put it though Babblefish and more or less the following came out. Pardon
my French.
==========

[Dr.] Raymond Martinot had frozen the body of his wife after her death in
1984, in the hope that advances in knowledge would one day allow it to be
brought back to the life. The doctor died in his turn last month, and his
body, frozen at his request by his son R my, was also deposited in the crypt
of the castle of Nueil-on-Tailboard.

Wednesday, the TGI of Saumur declared this situation illegal, on grounds
that the civil code requires burial or cremation of bodies within six day
after death.

R my Martinot appealed this decision Thursday.

In an official statement the Prefecture of the Maine-and-Loire said that
although the appeal is not suspensive [likely to suceed?], because of due
regard for the mourning of the family and also the dignity with which such
business must be treated, the Prefect has decided to await the final
judgment of the Court of Appeal of Angers [before execution of the TGI
order].

In its judgment of Wednesday, the TGI authorized the immediate burial of the
two bodies, if need be with the use of police force.
