In Message 19078 Tim Freeman referring to my two posts regarding why so few
people sign up for cryonics wrote in part:

"It is not obvious that more consciousness helps you act
more effectively in your life, and it is not obvious that there is an
effective procedure to achieve more consciousness. It is pretty clear
that some religious cults are organized around the goal of achieving
more consciouness, but that doesn't imply that the goal is worthless."

My entire point was not regarding whether people can become more conscious
or whether this would be desirable.

What I was attempting to communicate was that on the whole the human beast
IS usually NOT conscious and if you want to get it to consider cryonics you
had better take that into account.

Hope that clarifies things.
