Subject: Mourning Stephen Jay Gould's untimely and wasteful deanimation

I just learned that Stephen Jay Gould died from cancer last Monday the 20th of
May. I liked his courage in standing up to pseudo science... activities that
don't

even deserve the term science mentioned with or about them. What a shame he, to
my knowledge, wasn't a cryonicist. He probably felt in traditional evolutionary

terms that the old should properly die to make way for the next generation. Too
bad, he might have enjoyed seeing the results as we direct our own evolution. I
will miss him.

A favorite quote: Last lines of the first Star Trek the Next Generation movie.

CAPT PICARD: What we leave behind is not as important as how we've lived, after
all Number One, we're only mortal.
WILL RYKER: Speak for yourself captain, I intend to live forever.
