You are also simultaneously accusing Alcor of "raping" its'members. Additionally, you indicated that you did not want certain Alcor members present during such research, fearing for your safety. I am uncertain as to the meaning of all of this. Secondly, you said that I am incorrect in my stating an absence of improprieties in Alcors' finances. If you mean there have been situations in which better decisions could have been made, I agree. That is hindsight. If you mean that intentional or dishonorable acts violating fiduciary responsibility took place, I still disagree. Mike, I have no axe to grind here, or reasons to be defensive. As you know, I am a dues paying member, neither employee or director, with no control whatsoever as to how money gets handled. Being a CPA, on an unpaid , volunteer basis, I have looked at various aspects of Alcors' finances from time to time. This was done both as a member , wishing to protect myself, and also as the membership ombudsman, resulting from several serious charges of financial misdeeds. In a detailed report of last year , you will recall, that while I noted several areas for improvement, there was no evidence of wrongdoing. Adiitionally, Alcor has engaged an independent auditing firm, that is in the final stages of examining Alcors books and records. Why dont we wait and see if they indicate improprieties? My specific needs, possibly representative of many Alcor members, is to get quality services, from a reliable and responsible organization. Although always needing growth in such critical areas as improved facilities and research breakthroughs, I remain convinced that Alcor continues to be my best choice. Last, I personally would like to see you rejoin Alcor, as a member, and of course an active participant where your ideas and effort can have a more direct beneficial impact for everyone.
