   Apparently  the richest man in the world (8 billion give or
take a billion) has read Engines of Creation and was quite
impressed.  According to a recent biography by Manes and
Andrews, Bill Gates the Chairman and owner of 37% of Microsoft
Corporation has this to say about Drexler's work " Incredible 
book! Incredible book! It's about how the information revolution
and biotechnology in combination are just part of a trend, and
he extrapolates that trend somewhat in a very plausible way over
the next fifty to a hundred years".
  Mr. Gates is 37 years old and in good health so I doubt he
feels a since of urgency and I don't know if he opens his own
mail but it might be worth a 29 cent stamp to send him some
literature.
