X-Message-Number: 1924 Newsgroups: sci.cryonics From: (Joni Jarvenkyla) Subject: A living head? Date: Tue, 9 Mar 1993 20:07:49 GMT Message-ID: <> Have there been experiments of getting "living heads"? To say, replacing the veins with plastic tubes pumping the blood/blood supplement in heartbeat fashion, then disconnecting the head from the body, probably nerve by nerve, and sealing the cut-off properly? When done properly there should be on air pump to give a good flow to the vocal cords to give ability to speak. Am I just dreaming or could this be possible? What I have in mind with this is living old as a dictating writer, or with my head connected to a computer with voice recognition skills. Briefly, "Chet Fleming" patented this proposed technology to attempt to *prevent* anyone from actually doing it. - KQB ] Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=1924
