For what it's worth, the information that Ted Williams has been
"frozen" came on the news here in Australia, too, just today
(it is now 9 July here, I'm writing this in the evening).

There was no special comment, pro or con. Just the information.
Plus the information that a feud had developed in his family
about whether or not he should have been frozen. Very short
news article.
