Benford has been heavily promoting a related idea, sampling and freezing tropical flora & fauna so we don't lose their DNA information to extinction. I haven't seen any good stories extrapolating the cryonics techniques & culture as it's actually developing today. It would make for fascinating reading; certainly the factual soap opera as recorded in _Cryonics_ magazine and on CryoNet is mighty interesting. (And yes, I'm considering signing up). -- Nick Szabo Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=1956
